Katrina’s career may be going great guns, as she has six movies in hand, but her biggest signing amount has this time come from down South. Kat has just signed a movie opposite Tamil Superstar Vikram of Anniyan fame; the movie is being directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Tahanu.
The kismet boomed for Katrina as she restarted her career in South, as her debut in the Telugu movie ‘Malliswari’, the actress was paid a whooping Rs. 60 lakhs ($150,000) in which she played the protagonist Princess Malliswari. Katrina is currently with some big banner movies like Vipul Shah’s ‘Namastey London’, Sohail Khan’s ‘Partner’, Firoz Nadiawala’s ‘Welcome’ to name a few.
While Kat is getting all the name and fame in Bollywood the real Moola comes from the South and that’s the reason she is seem smiling as she greets “Welcome” and “Namastey” to South AKA ‘Kollywood’.

Katrina receives a big “Yes” from Subhash Ghai and a “No” from Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In life you win some you lose some' and this sure is a thought that Katrina is pondering on lately as the actress has managed to bag a Subhash Ghai movie also being directed by the showman himself but, at the same time Kat has lost a chance to act in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming movie.
Kat will soon be working in Subhash Ghai’s project ‘Mein Yuvraj’ in which she is paired opposite Salman Khan. Her character in the movie is that of an NRI girl which apparently also happens to be one of the reasons Mr. Ghai signed her for the role.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who was contemplating casting Katrina in his shelved movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’, has finally given up on the idea of casting Kat as based on industry insiders the director is not convinced of Kat’s histrionics.
Katrina is however; very excited to act in ‘Mein Yuvraj’ in which her co-stars would be Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan besides Salman Khan. The showman Subhash Ghai is famous for presenting his actresses in a great way and we are sure he has some big plans on presenting Kat in a glamorous way in his musical as well.

Kat, who has always shared a friendly relationship with her co-stars be it Akshay, Abhishek or even Govinda, has found a new friend and it’s none other than Saif Ali Khan. Kat and Saif are often spotted on the sets of ‘Race’ in one nook busy playing the game of chess. Believe it or not, Katrina is a great chess player but, the actress never finds company to play chess on the sets.

What happens when you have a protective boyfriend? You flaunt him, of course. Reportedly, that's exactly what Katrina Kaif has been doing. And, according to industry insiders, she seems to have made a habit of dragging boyfriend Sallu to resolve 'every second thing' on the sets.
A source close to the actress says, "Katrina brags about her Salman connection very often. In fact, Salman has been encouraging her to do so. Be it problems with her costumes or if she is asked to wait around, she just picks up the phone and complains to Salman."
Recently, when Katrina complained about her ill-fitting costumes on a film set, a designer blamed it on the flab that she has acquired of late. This naturally upset Katrina. She burst into tears and made a frantic call to her boyfriend. Some time later, Salman landed up on the sets and gave an earful to the designer.
In the recent past, there have been instances where unit members have incurred the wrath of the actor because Katrina felt that she has not been treated 'well enough'.

Ram Gopal Varma ’s dream project will have a little change in the star cast.

Sometime back Katrina was doing a scene for this film and there was a huge controversey as she entered a dargah with a skirt that displayed her legs,now the filmmakers have been asked to delete that scene from the film and re-do it.However now it seems another controversey has come along Katrina's way.According to some sources,Katrina Kaif gave her co-star newcomer shaana Diya enormous stress while doing the film.In the film Shaana and Katrina play best friends, however off-screen it seems Katrina was anything but friendly with the newcomer.
According to sources Katrina behaved really badly with Shaana on the sets of Namastey London while working with her,she would often throw tantrums and Shaana was invariably at the receiving end of these tantrums.Katrina often bullied the newcomer and tried to get her way. A source adds "Katrina would throw a fit over petty issues and once Katrina sent Shaana back to change her lipstick shade only because it was similar to hers.On several occassions she gave Shaana a lot of grief." Shaana is a newcomer and hence does not want to get drawn into controversies, so at first she just talks about the wonderful experience of shooting with her co-stars Akshay,Upen etc.However she does not mention Katrina's name among those she had fun with but later adds that Katrina and she weren't the best of friends. Shaana further adds "I am a thorough professional and would rather concentrate on my work than nurturing frienships."
